For as long as I can remember, I’ve been making things. As a child, I found joy among paper, scissors, glue, pens and pencils. That is, when I was not running around with the kids next door, or rehearsing the made-up plays we would later perform to our ever-so-patient parents.
Growing up in a family of artists has provided me with the ideal background to dive deeper into my creative endeavours. At the age of eighteen I was taking my first steps as a graphic designer and illustrator in my parents’ publisher of children’s books.
Creativity is a big part of my life, not only in my profession, but in my hobbies and side-hustles as well. I believe that making is a great part of the human experience. The time, effort and love employed in the creation of a unique item is an activity that contains values that are somewhat lost in our industrialized society. I love being outdoors, cycling, hiking, and travelling, but am equally happy with a good book, a geeky TV series or playing my piano for hours on end.
